Senior Pastor
Thank you for visiting our website.
If you're in search of a church that provides a good fit for you and your family, we would like to briefly explain how we might meet your needs and why Calvary is considered unique in the Roanoke Valley.
Just like people, churches have different personalities. Some are boisterous. . . some are pensive . . some are just plain boring. At Calvary, we try to incorporate the best of tradition with the best of the new.
At first, you'll find that we take seriously Jesus' commission to be hospitable to everyone. As you get to know us, you'll learn that we value meaningful worship and music, Bible study, prayer, spiritual growth, and laughter.
As we work to grow closer to and live more like Jesus Christ each day, we know it's an up-and-down journey. So when one of us falls, another reaches out a hand to help. We also reach out to and encourage people beyond our congregation with annual mission trips and local service projects.
As a parent of a 3-and 5-year old, it's important to me that we help our children develop faith and values. With experienced staff and volunteers, through worship, choirs, and other activities, our children and youth learn how to apply Bible stories and lessons to their everyday lives. Some of our families have three active generations.
If you want to learn more about Jesus, strengthen your relationship with Him, or learn ways you can serve God, we hope you'll be our guest this Sunday for Bible study at 9:45, worship at 11:00, or at any of our activities. Feel free to email me if you'd like more information.
A church that feels like home can be a powerful, positive force in a person's or a family's life. May God's Spirit guide you in your search.
